{"id":402,"date":"2023-04-21T00:59:24","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T00:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trafficcrime.net\/?p=402"},"modified":"2023-04-21T00:59:24","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T00:59:24","slug":"wrench-wielding-road-rage-driver-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trafficcrime.net\/wrench-wielding-road-rage-driver-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Wrench-wielding Road Rage driver arrested."},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>A driver allegedly hit another car with a metal wrench in Langford in a case of highway road rage during Thursday\u2019s morning commute, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>West Shore RCMP officers were called to a reported disturbance near the Trans-Canada Highway and Millstream Road off-ramp when they learned an argument took place between someone driving a Honda Civic and another driving a Toyota RAV4 while stopped in traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Things escalated when the driver of the RAV4 allegedly exited his vehicle carrying a large metal wrench and struck the Civic before he got back into his vehicle and headed toward Saanich.<\/p>\n<p>RCMP advised Saanich Police that the suspect vehicle was headed in their direction.<\/p>\n<p>Saanich officers caught up with the driver near Mackenzie Avenue and Glanford Road, arresting the man for mischief under $5,000 and driving without due care and attention.<\/p>\n<p>The driver\u2019s vehicle was towed from the scene.<\/p>\n<p>No physical injuries were reported, but the arrest briefly caused traffic backups in the area of Mackenzie and Glanford while officers attended the scene.<\/p>\n<p>West Shore RCMP is still investigating the Langford road rage incident and has not released any additional information at this time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cheknews.ca\/wrench-wielding-driver-arrested-in-alleged-case-of-langford-road-rage-1149402\/?amp\">Click here for the Source: www.cheknews.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A driver allegedly hit another car with a metal wrench in Langford in a case of highway road rage during Thursday\u2019s morning commute, according to police.
